Staggered 8.5 inch front, 9.5 rear, Tein springs, good idea?

Of course he made it work, but again you do know he's on coilovers and hes running a lot of camber right? if he was at zero camber with struts and springs it sure as hell wouldnt look like that.

So I ordered tein coil overs now. With the stretch on the tires, and some camber, and some fender rolling, I think it will look nice and aggressive. Or I hope so i guess. Taking a risk here. The guy with the black solar pulled it off, I think I can do the same. I'll also modify my bumper to get rid of the white plastic bar in the middle, and stick some mesh down there, it should look different and unique. We'll see what happens I guess.

I'm reconsidering the kaminari split-style front lips now, wondering if I should find some kinda lip somewhere that is not the split style....

Trying to figure out a good place to get a camber kit from.

It is my understanding that the front will need just camber bolts, and the rear will need the camber kit, is that right?

well it depends on your coils.. My coils (megan) have the adjustable camber settings on the front two struts. I had to buy camber bolts for the rears to prevent my tires from rubbing in the strut.

if you have a gen 1, I think that'll look kinda bad and ricey D:
instead keep it simple and try painting that slot black!

thats the bad part from the tein coils they dont have a camber plate up front so you would need tofind camber bolts on front and rear since they dont have camber kits for our cars

I'm having a hard time finding tein coil overs though. one website called excessive performance called me a couple days after i made the order saying their out of stock on them, and refunded me the money.

so yesterday i order these off a seller on ebay. today he cancels the transaction and doesn't tell me why. probably because he's out of them too. cos a few months ago they've been discontinued i hear....(the reason i want teins is i keep hearing they are slightly more comfortable than some other ones)

why don't you go with another brand i would honestly suggest running megan street series cheaper and you can get custom spring rates for your comfortability and its 32 way dampening adjustable .

The problem with tein is that you cant lower the car too much since the spring wont be compressed if you decide to slam the car.
Heres a picture to show you.



the part circled in red are the two collars keeping the spring compressed, now if you decide to lay the car out the spring will become loose so there wont be any preload. No preload equals more of a chance of your coilover to start leaking and blowing.

now the megan coilovers look like this.



the part circled in red is the two collars to keep the spring compressed/preloaded. The part circled in blue is the collar to actually drop the car. So as you can see the spring always stays compressed while the car can be slammed. and these have camber adjustment for the front with the dampening knob up top and its 32 way adjustable.

that my 2 cents, personally i would go with this if i were you.
