Hi guys.

When I rev my gen.4 V6 up to about 3600-3800 rpm it backfires into my Injen air intake. What can it be ? The sparkplugs ? Any suggestions ?

Carsten - Denmark.

Has the engine been apart and worked on recently?
When did it start backfiring?

No it hasn't been apart or worked on recently.
I haven't used it for about 6 months and when I started using it again it backfired.
I have changed the sparkplugs and it has helped a lot but it still backfires when I rev it up to about 5000-5500 rpm

Maybe because it sat for 6 months, the fuel has broken down.
Has the Check Engine Light come on?
If it ran fine when you parked it, it should run fine now.

The fuel has been "changed" and the check engine light hasn't come on.
It ran fine when I parked it - no problems at all..

Well, plugs and fuel are the most likely.
I guess you have taken care of both of those.
Maybe the problem will just fix itself.
