O2: You would need an O2 sim for the rear O2.
Resonator: Sound control. Resonators are tuned to a specific frequency that is a problem period. The resonator is always straight through and usually not too restrictive. You will net a small gain by replacing it with a straight pipe. The down side is that the sound is usually very annoying after the resonator is removed. I'd recommend substituting a straight through 5" round muffler of similar length. It will take out some of the high frequency noise that will drive you nuts at highway speeds.
Straight pipe size: OE was probably 1.91" (48.6mm) Don't go over 2.25" as low end torque will suffer greatly. (Unless you are turbocharged)
