if you got rear ended doesnt the other party pay so it wouldnt matter the difference?

was your dad int he same or separate accident as you?
typically the rear repairs cost less. THe rear bumper cover is definately less than the front bumper cover.

rear bumper

Postby LatinUSMC » Mon May 22, 2006 9:39 pm

my rear bumper has a large crack where the bumber bent, the psint wants to start flaking there but it barely visible..so i can live with it...

aside from that

my dads front bumper is falling off at one side it was clipped by a hit n run driver...

im hoping i can take my dads car to the body shop instead of mine eventhough he was not involved in the accident.

kinda flip-flop-cars in the body shop... :drinking: what do you think you think hell buy it???? and go along???

Any other front end damage to the camry? - does the hood open nicely, are the gaps all aligned on the hood? (any other damage to the solara, does teh trunk open and align well...stuff like that).

All that explains the cost...honestly, just buy front and rear bumper covers, if you can't afford paint, leave them primered! its better than having a cracked bumper that may cause more damage in future collissions.

well...what you want to do isnt exactly honest but if the people fixing your car dont remember your exact car, the damage to be fixed, or license plate/insurance...then i guess you could give it a shot. lol.

The repair shop will have to report the parts and such to your car. Even though a Solara is based on the Camry, it's not a Camry, and the numbers won't match.

You will never get away with that, the insurance company will catch you and you will be charged with insurance fraud.
