What up guys i just moved here from TN... Anyone on here who has done the 1mz supercharger on a 3.5 gen camry please send me a PM, i have a few questions. Thanks

i remember only one person doing this...but that was years ago and he sold the camry and never been on the boards again..

I think there was a dude on old old sc3 site that claimed to have done it many moons ago.

Besides that, there was a another dude who did sc install on a gen 1 avalon.

The guy who did it on the avalon posted right above you. I dont have any questions to pin point, im just trying to get as much info as i possibly can so when its time for the install i dont come to any crappy points... I wont have everything ready to go for another 3 months or so... Thats pretty dope though, ill be one of the only gen 3.5 cam's with a blown 1mz!!

some points to mark:
remember the oem vacuum line diagram.

The two power steering hoses will need to get air from another source, just T tap it from another hose, I used the L barb.

Install the EGR on the s/c manifold first, hand tighten that is, before putting it on the engine.

You need to tie off the 'diagnosis' cpu near the passenger firewall to the low pressure tube for the A/C

Thats pretty much all that i can think of...for now. Everything else pretty much bolts on the same way as for the 97+ application. The vacumm line, if it doesn't work or your hesistating, let me know, I'll get some pix of my VLs. As for the EBC, if your adding it, I haven't installed it yet but I'm close to figuring out which wire goes where...

I'm really dating myself in the Camry/Solara community but...the guy that did it was Jason Gibson (Gibson99) down in Texas. It wasn't an easy install and he step a LOT of time getting it in. His email is Jason@gibson99.com , website is http://www.gibson99.com/camry/95se/ Jon.

yeah it took me a long time too to finally get everything funcitoning correctly. 10hr to install, and a couple of months to finally fix vacummlines and what not.[/img]

im using an EGR blockoff plate, and i have the diagram for the hoses but im sure ill wanna get in touch with you more before the install. Ive got a buddy whos helping me out with a lot of the stuff and hes pretty knowledgeable on supercharged 1mz's. JMs thanks for those links ill check that out for sure.

just to get it out of the way of the s/c belt. At least that was the case for me.
