Brake Problem...

Postby Nodrogkam » Sun May 28, 2006 9:19 pm

Hey i was wondering if someone knew the answer to my problem.
Yeah i wasnt too bright going into this...it was a spur of the moment thing and i know i will be paying for it.

I was rotating my tires and said why not let some old brake fluid out. I unbolted the brake line at each caliper one at a time and pumped the brake pedal once lightly at every time i detatched a brake line. I believe i reattatched properly and tightly but upon restart of my car the brake pedal just goes to the floor. I collected the amount of brake fluid i let out and it wasnt much at all.

Tomorrow morning i'll take off each wheel and double check. Probably just one of the lines are loose...or there is now air in my brake system. Would i need a brake bleed kit for that then?

Thanks for any and all help!! I hope to get my car back into driving condition by the end of tomorrow morning.

i hope so...although most signs point to air in the brake system. :-?
Thank you.
