how high does your bumper have to be from the ground because mines is like 5 inches from the ground anyone know?

It's not your bumper that matters... It's how high/low your headlights are allowed to be.. I think its around 22" threshold in Cali? not sure if that nationwide

yeah, i had never heard of this until i saw that street racer show on mtv and all those guys were getting tickets for it. i just couldnt believe that some cops are that bastardlike. wow. feel sorry for you guys out in cali.

errr............. does all cops bring along a tape measure to measure the height of your headlights(in cali)? Just wondering how the hell they know what the height is before writing you a ticket.

You never know; I heard somebody's car had tinted windows and someone actually had some sort of light meter (and the pig made an X with an Exacto knife to make sure he removes it), so a tape measure isn't that hard to pack.

Besides, I don't think they'd have enough time to track everyone with a lowered car, but I'm not really up for lowering cars either (mostly because some commonly used driveways I use is steep enough to scrape the curb, even at stock ride height).
