Just replaced battery in my 2002 Camry which has less than 20,000 miles on it. Is this unusual?

battries can go premarurely, its happens. When i stored my celica in 2002, i removed the cables from the battery. IN 2003 when i resurected it, naturally the battery was dead...but it wasn't rechargable as well..there was less than 2K miles on teh battery...Thankfully, autozone did a free replacement!
