I haven't been on the forum for quite a long time.
Me and my gf bought a house back in spring last year, and then we got married in fall.

since we bought a house, I have been crazy busy fixing up.

My coworker quit and now our office is undermanned, which left rest of our team busy at work as well.

then of course, marriage made me from a single man who could live and mod car as I pleased to a family man who needs to live my family in center of my life.

well long story short, I start thinking of selling my car.

some of you may know my solara is real one of the kind, and I really proud of it.
came long way from bone stock gramma's ride to over 240HP turbo charged ride.

a few note about my solara.
It's 2004 Solara SE with tC Turbo kit custom fitted.
automatic trans.
a little less than 120,000 miles.
got door panel scraped by someone and it's been repainted.


1. She is not an everyone's ride
I have modded a lot on this ride. Tons of custom work. there are few things I'm not perfectly happy with her. I just want to be honest with you.

2. The turbo kit is from Scion tC and it is custom fitted and tuned. Mechanically it is perfectly fine, however it can use some tuning. Engine bog down at idle. I need to be very gentle on gas especially in stop and go traffic. if you hit gas for a very brief moment and let go, sometime rev become unstable and stall. the mechanic told me using full independent computer instead of piggy back will fix this issue, however I have been using her as my daily driver for almost 2 years and figured it is not a big deal. once you learn how it react on gas input it is not very hard to get it going without any problem.

3. The Tein Coilover bushing seems to have some issue, i have set tightest setting and when it go over bump it makes some noise. I wanted to take the strut out and clean up, re-install, but I got married.... you know what i mean

4. Airbag is off. My seat sensor has been dead for while, and airbag is on now.

5. Battery needs to be replaced. We had crazy cold winter last year and after my car sitting in garage for a week my optima red went dead.
it hold charge for a while (as long as you drive everyday, you'll be fine), but if you let it sit for while you may need to jump start (or can replace battery)

6. the slotted/drilled rotor can use some re-serfacing.


some remarks

1. turbo is installed in spring 2008 and has less than 20,000 miles.

2. tein CO is instaled while back probably 60,000 miles on it.

3. i have brand new 4 season tire just put on this week has less than 200 miles on 18" rims, and 20" rims with a little rubber on it.

4. The Gold Headlight/tail light is REAL ONE OF THE KIND! You will never find a pair I got it from a forum member and this is a only headlight pair made in gold plated by toyota supplier!

5. she won 3 awards at elmhurst toyota car show. (one 1st place and 3rd place twice)

6. I have stock headunit, speakers, stock headlight/taillight, and few other stock parts

Price asking for $10,000 OBO
I have spent well more than that just only for turbo and exhaust and its tuning. so no low ballers please.
Also most importantly I would like someone who will take care of her well to take her. don't want to see her one year from now with huge civic wing on the back....

I will not going to part out, since I so love the ride, and would love to have someone take her with all the hard work I put in, so please don't ask. (or least for now...)

These headlights came from a someone who knew someone at Toyota's Georgetown plant. They were a one off made by the supplier. A second set does not exist. (Perfect for the Sand Mica paint)





Sorry for the long montage. Seriously, I wish I could buy it from you. I'd hate to see it fall into just anyone's hands. But I understand, you must move on.
