Gen. 2 Solara Corner bulbs

I have a 04 Solara SE Sport.

Don't be afraid to experiment with your car. If you don't you're never going to learn anything. I'll post some pictures up soon.
1. Looking at the front. unscrew the right side of the solara's running boards under the car. I'm still 18 and only 5'8 and could squeeze my head under the car. But for you older people, you might have to use a jack.
2. Looking up from underneath, u can see the corner bulb clearly. replace..... etc....
3. Now the left one....that's a toughy. You have to let your little nephew to get that one out and in. It took me about 15 minutes. (struggle) It hurts to see two grown men struggling over a simple bulb.

Note: I tried taking out the running boards to replace both bulbs but the left one was blocked. Sorry to say. [/img]

They're xenon 3156 turn signal bulbs. I'm not exactly sure what brand. I kind of through out the package. I bought them at Advance auto parts for about 2 or 3 bucks. It gives it the appearence of a blue housing in the day time and a white appearence at night instead of yellow in you corners.

Arthur, they are the turn signal bulbs that is very hard to get to.

I got around to changing these this weekend. But I found the turn signal bulb to be a 3457 not 3156.

(Did I read something incorrectly?)

PhreakdOut, reguarding your question about the signal bulb, the 3156's and 3457's are interchangeable. So are the 3157's, 4156's, 4157's etc. The 3156's are actually for the rear turn signals but they're all the same. I guess the numbers are just there to distinguish the rear with the front. Hope that helps.

Hope this isn't off-topic (please beat me with a stick if it is!) ;)

But... has anyone tried converting all indicator bulbs (turn/tail/brake) to the LEDs yet? They are way expensive, but look pretty cool - and bright.
