iPod and Sirius to a JBL no NAV OEM head ??? help

OK - i've done a lot of "searches" and i still can't say that i have fully understood what to do about my (2004 Solara SLE) OEM head unit with OUT navigation - and it's the JBL system 6 CD changer with the "SAT" button on it....
i want to add BOTH Sirius and iPod capabilities to my car - utilizing the best method obviously and adding both so the can be controlled by the steering wheel controls AND the display on the Head unit will show the text for either iPod or Sirius when being used.-
so...
please - can one of you with more experienced tell me what i should be looking at to buysa as to accomplish this.
i see where people have posted ideas for XM or Sirius, with an adapter to use the hook up to the back of the unit
and i also have read about iPod adapters - but what about a unit that will allow me to hook up BOTH.
thanx to all in advance.
(hell - the CD changer is becoming more old school every year - huh!!??? lol)

If you buy the factory Sirius adapter, it will plug into the back of the headunit in its own place I believe. And the Ipod adapter will plug need to plug into where the 6disk CD changer goes. So for that, I have no clue.

Just get the OEM nav system and the OEM sirius, so this wont be aproblem :)

lol. seriously though, good luck. thats a tuffy.

BTW...i am NOT an expert. I have the factory nav, so I am not really much help. check gadget's site. it might help some.

Does anything work with the AUX button on my Navi unit? I am having the Toyota Sirius interface installed this week and want to use my iPod with info on the screen and steering wheel controls in place of the AUX input. Is this possible?

Thanks!

For those that just want to hook up an ipod that will flip through songs using the steering wheel controls, and still use the FFwd and REW on the Head unit, go buy this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 2880156098

Just got it for $100 for my Wifes 2004 SLE coupe w/JBL w/o Navigation.

Came with multiple harnesses (use the PXHTY3 one). It has 3 possible connections. Use the smallest one (it's the only one that will fit in the empty slot).

The center console and compartment came off very easily, didn't have to take out the radio. Just felt for the empty slot and stuck it in. Ipod came on as soon as I plugged it in, started charging, and when I pressed "Disc" button twice, it changed to "cd1" and started playing. Only difference is I have to turn the volume up a little more than I would for a cd, but not much.

Finished in under 30 mins.
