I'm getting the avic-d3 this coming saturday and just wondering if the steering wheel control such as skipping trakcs and volume works or not...

also I heard some people bypass the system so they could play DVD while driving... anyone know how to do that?

If you want to retain your steering wheels functionalities, you'll need this

As for watching dvd while you drive, most of the new HU requires a on/off switch to display video.

Good luck, I considered that unit once, seems like a good one.

Hey I did the DVD bypass on my D3, it's fairly simple.

Ground the Green parking brake wire
Pull the yellow mute wire from the harness and insert it into the empty slot above it, ground that wire too.

That's it :)
