As captioned... wanting confirmation on the JL XR 6.5" - CSI components in the Gen 2 Solara. I hear they are pretty good speakers... but I'd like some confirmation from someone with experience in sound and size. Any issues with mounting these in our doors and dash deck?

I haven't forgotten you, Chris! I got WIPED OUT from the residual Christmas Spending... and I'm slowly working my plan back into action!

I have been told the MB Quart as a "company" have "deteriorated" since being "bought out" by RF 2-3 years ago... but I would assume the QSD's were still under the watchful eye of MB Quart's prior ownership? (Don't know if it matters... but some have said it does. Also, the cost-factor is now MUCH MORE of a consideration...)

So YOU think the MB Quart QSD's are better than the JL's? My ears are open! (er... EYES, that is!)

Oh, the other thing is... the JL 6.5" are supposed to mount in my gen 2! I need to find out for SURE on the QSD's in a 6.5" to consider!

(I KNEW you would jump in on this! )

well yes MB quart has fallen below standards of the RF time. but i only have the RF era of quarts ;).

the big thing on spending money for speakers is GO listen too them. i know it is hard sometimes. BUT that is the only way one is sure of what they get.

im a big fan of the Q's since i have been known to feed the tweeters 50watts easily. and the mids 200+watts and they sounds awsome.

i had a infinity kappas and they sounded flat. but thats my personal opinion.
