Remote turn on

Remote turn on

Postby mcsoccer7 » Sat Dec 23, 2006 5:09 pm

I'm trying to install my system in my car, but I can't get the amps to turn on. I know the remote turn on is supposed to connect to the power antenna connection, but since Solara's don't have them, can you just splice into the ACC power wire? I don't think it's a grounding issue, so that leaves me to believe it's the remote turn on. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

All you need is a source that has power when the key is on and no power when the key is off. If its an aftermarket deck it should have a remote wire or just use the power antenna wire.

Yeah I'm running two amps...One on the subs, and another for the mids - tweets...I figured it out....It was a bad ground...I was only seeing 3.5 volts across it...I moved it and now have 13 volts...figures...it seems like it's always a grounding issue...thanks for the help guys...
