Speaker issues

I have a 2006 Solara. Just the 4 cylinder model with the basic cd radio. I knew I was going to upgrade. What are the speaker sizes through out the car? I know there are dash speakers, door speakers, and rear deck speakers. Is there a place I can find their respective sizes? I have quite a selection of equipment from past installs. A lot of which I want to use. The speakers are the items I don't know about. Also, is the Solara prone to rattles? Can I expect to dynamat? Those of you out there with systems, is the solara bass friendly? Or can I expect to have to do some serious calculations. Thanks in advance.

Yah, the front and back are 6X9 for the Gen2s (lucky bastards...), but us Gen1 folks lack the bass up front with 6 3/4".

both front and rear are 6x9.
i have replaced the front speaker with older diamond audio 5 1/2.

i had the non JBL radio as well, and replaced head unit, and front speaker, along with adding amp and sub.
it will change the sound quality dramatically.

the hardest part was fighting against whining noise from the alternator.

good luck on your project!

Thanks for all the replies. I am glad that there are 6X9's up front. It allows me to run a decent sized midbass up there. It looks like there is quite a bit of room in the door. So I guess I just need to get that door off and the fiberglass ready. Does anybody know what the dash speakers are? Size wise that is. I dusted off my Zapco and Phoenix gold amps. The audiocontrol processors are ready. I am itching to get started. Will have to start heating my garage. Its cold here in Illinois.
