'04 Firewall spot for amp wire

As engine bays get more and more crowded it seems harder just to see the firewall. Maybe someone who has actually done this, or can see where an installer did, can help me out before I start taking things apart. I'm not afraid to do it, just want to know what direction to head in so, if you installed an amp, what route did you chose to run the power lead from the battery into the cabin? Is there an unused grommet, forced it in with an existing harness, or just drilled something new? Is there a route through the fender well like the hood release cable follows? Thanks.

Amp Wire Routing

SolaraDon,

I just finished an amp install and used the hood release cable route. It seemed to work fine.

Thanks. Everything is so crowded in the engine bay and behind the dash I was hoping for an alternate route to explore.
