get a cheap cell phone holder from local store, and then screw a piece of sheet metal (not too soft one.. )
then take dash panel and screw the other end to somewhere behind the nterior panel or something.
the interior panel will squeeze the metal piece, and won't move easily.
it's like 15 min install and look much better than just let the iPod laying around.
