So can somebody confirm that the Eclipse AVN5435 has the ability to keep the steering wheel controls without that infared adapter? I'd like to install one of these myself and I just wonder if it's going to take an electrical engineering degree to get those controls to work...I've come to really like them and I dont' know if I could go without.

Where did you obtain this piece? Ive had a Double-din Eclipse unit sitting in my closet for 2 months because i can't find a double-din kit!! Let me know please!! Thank you.

I got mines at the dealer :) but with that part number E just supplied you, you can prolly find it cheaper online
