strange..

are they even compatible? the wire connectors for 2006 and 2007 are little different..

The dude has more than one. He's already posted up another one. I bought one from him and when it comes I'll try to pop it in and let you guys know if it's plug and play for the '04. If it is, $160 is well worth losing the MP3 player. 48 hours of tunes? I'll trade the cassette deck that will never be used. If it's not, I'll happily sell it to one of you '07 guys for a loss.

Ya posh, that setup looks nice. Where'd you find the paint to match and what color # is it, do you know? And where did you get those pedals, they look nice.

Thanks :)

The paint color # I do not know, when I had it installed at Al & Eds they paited it for no extra charge. They said they had the color match from previous Toyotas that they had worked on.

The pedals are the OEM SE Sport pedals --- they came with the car.

Oh ok I didn't know that (I don't have a SE Sport :(). They will fit on the SE, right? Also, could you ask them for the paint # because I would love to do that with my mp3 stereo I have.

^^^ Yes they sell the SE Sport pedals (or the covers or whatever) so they will fit...

I dont konw if I can get that paint number, it has been over a year since I had it done... it would probably be easier to find it online somewhere.

It works!

Anyone know what the backlight color was in the 04-06 JBL? I seem to remember green. 07 got a blue that matches the guages. So now my colors are all mixed up. no complaints tho. <$200 and I have MP3 play without fussing w/ the MP3 player. Well worth it.
As I mentioned in the Tutorial, there may be a bit of a color diff from my 04 dash to the 07 dash. Mine's brighter. We'll see how it looks in the sunlight and decide if it needs to be fixed. The pic makes it look way worse.

Steering wheel, MP3, ID3 text, and my AUX2CAR input all work fine. it's a bit slower reading the data than most I've had, but for the price and convenience, it's great.

That's good news! It looks like this person is going to be very happy getting a lot of business from us SG members (seeing how he has a monopoly on them). The old background colors were green, but the blue looks tons better. Find out the paint # for the dash color so you can repaint it to match :)

If you look at the picture, they don't match and he even says it's a little darker than the 04-06 JBL. I can't find te paint # anywhere.

The pics in the tutorial show that it depends on the angle as to how much the diff shows. I'm waiting for daylight. And I'd sooner swap faceplates than paint.
