I saw someone selling a line out converter. I was interested in getting one. He said that I could use my stock headunit to connect to an aftermarket amp. I'm not sure how this thing works exactly.

I want to put a audio system in my car. I want an aftermarket amp with some subs. I also want to keep my headunit, or I wouldn't mind putting in the 6 disc mp3 HU. So if I want this audio system, is the line out converter what I need. Or do I need to get something else in order for the subwoofers.

One more question - which 6 disc HU fits into the 04 se coupe.

I don't mind buying it, i just want to know if the line out converter is the thing I need to use an aftermarket amp, to put a subwoofer.

yes, its a LOC.

Connects to a pair of speaker channels and outputs on a pair of RCAs...
