07 non-jbl into 05 non jbl?

Does anyone know if it is a simple switch to take a non JBL 07 HU and put into an 05 non JBL Solara SE. Are the hook ups in back the same? Does anyone know where I could get an 07 non JBL head unit. I have looked at aftermarket radios, but would really would prefer to have a stock look.

He's talking non-JBL. Is there any bonus to that model? Does it play MP3? I would imagine it's just as simple as the JBL to replace. Connections should be the same in '05 and '07. But I don't know the specs of the stereo so I'm not sure there's a reason to do it.

07 non JBL

The 07 base model stereo is listed as a six disc in dash capable of mp3 playabck. I thought is was a mistake as that sounds like the JBL. On the Toyota site, the 08 Solara standard stereo is listed as a 6 disc in dash with mp3 play back. There is an option for JBL. The photos on Yahoo show the SE dash and stereo. There is nothing on there saying JBL for the standard stereo.

If it's a Non-JBL it will connect to a Non-JBL system. But if it's an 07 JBL HU, the connections to the back are different because they use a JBL Amp so it wont connect directly to a Non-JBL system. Yes I have tried it and that's how i know. I still have my 07 JBL system sitting right here.

Plug and play from what I've heard. I've got an 06 and have been trying to get my hands on an '07's CD player for quite some time now. If you find more than one for yourself, please let me know.
