Does anyone know of any any headunits, or better yet A/V units that can be wired to the stock steering wheel controls?

There are some kits that can be used with your headunit in case if it has wireless control.
You can look this post to get more information about such kits

or just look thru different developers of audio kits ect. http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/3 ... index.html

That is false. The Gen 2 decks are made by Panasonic (even the "JBL" version). I'm not sure about Gen 1 though... Many Toyotas do have decks manufactured by Fujitsu Ten, the parent company of Eclipse, but that still doesn't enable aftermarket Eclipse decks to be compatable.

The steering wheel controls are hard wired from the factory, and very few aftermarket units have any receptical/wiring for such a connection, no matter what the brand.

The PAC control units splice into the steering wheel control wiring and send a signal to a remote eye located elsewhere in your car (in the case of the PAC SWI-X the signal can be programmed for any manufacturer). So, basically, it acts as a remote control and requires that your headunit is remote compatable...

If you have a headunit that is not remote control compatable, you're pretty much SOL...
