My 6x9 were absolutely getting on my nerves they made me not even want to turn my system up. I see alot of people on here are having the same problem. And the solution is to just take them out. Seriously i have two subs in the back and it sounds great with just the front speakers u can also just by a descent set of compnents in the front and you wont miss them. No more rear deck rattle. Of course i didnt have the top of the line jbl speakers in my solara so it was easier for me to part with those cheap paper 6x9's

My sunroof rattles sometimes maybe I'll just take it out.

Matter of fact my brakes squeak also so maybe I'll just remove them altogether too. Problem solved right? :drinking:

Actually, while simply removing stuff is not usually a good answer, I must agree with the OP in this case...

In many cases, if you use quality equipment and tune it correctly you don't really need rear speakers... In the audiophile world they're just used as rear fill anyway (after all, the sound stage is supposed to be in front of you), however car companies usually throw in crap to appease rear passengers (often times larger speakers than in the front, which is @ss backwards)...

Hell, I'm running a two speaker setup in my Supra and couldn't be happier (and I'd be happy to put it against many 4 speaker setups out there)... The only reason I didn't do that in my Solara is cuz it has a much larger cabin so I wanted the fill, and I also carried rear passengers in it so it kept them contented...

There ARE other solutions out there as well, though, to correct the rear deck tray rattle... If you ever decide that you want that rear fill, do a bit of research and you'll find the solutions pretty easily.

Take care,
