Factory XM display characters are cut off

Has anyone noticed that the factory XM receiver only displays the first 10 characters of the station and text fields the rest of the information is cut off?

Has anyone herd of a fix? Dealer is telling me that it is normal - doesn't sound right to me.

I have the 2007 with the JBL Nav E7009.

Yeah, confirmed with Jeff (PXLpainter) who just installed the OEM satellite receiver...you are stuck with it. Toyota was DEFINITELY not thinking with this blunder.

I think Jeff said you can play with the text button to get more text...sux.

You can hold the text button in to see more but the descriptions are still truncated.

The text button will only cycle through the fields - but will always cut the end off everything.

Sucks hard.

Is it a Toyota issue or a JBL issue? Has anyone gone to JBL and inquired?

I don't think its a "issue" that will be resolved. It was probally a choice that they made.

My old pioneer XM receiver only displayed 8 characters. My new one will scroll for long names (which is what toyota / JBL should have done)
