Amp Install

Well I'm considering getting an Infinity Basslink for my 2007 Solara (did the whole 10" with 450W going to it and I'm over those days) to help fill out the lack of low end bass in the car and my concern when it comes to wiring (I did not wire my amp in my last car) is where to pass the power wire through the firewall. I don't want to run into trouble just the easiest spot with the smallest amount of trouble and I need to know how you guys have gotten the wire from the engine to the trunk with the minimal amount of trouble. Thanks!

^^^ There is a NICE little NIPPLE-NUB on the PASSENGER SIDE where the electrical HARNESS currently routes through the firewall. Just SNIP the first 1/2" or so off or it, and you can pass a 4 (or 8, etc.. gage) wire through it nicely, where it threads nicely into the cabin, and can be routed either around and down your center compartment (trickier under the rear carpet/seat cushion, etc...) or down the right doorjam trim plate and on around behind the rear passenger side trim panel into the trunk.

^^^ ...Of course... HEINEKEN is OPTIONAL for this procedure...

Hey, let me know how that goes... I'm thinking of replacing my (big) box with one of these...

Are you doing the Basslink, Basslink II or Basslink T (I think those are the names...)

easiest way to do it is using the rear speakers running extra wire to each of the speakers, either inline with them already (so you can still use them, or disconnect and twist some wire around them, wrap with electrical tape, done!

Now i had a stock hu & line output converter and it was alright for a sub install, i would not suggest doing anything that involves real speakers/components. I later upgraded to a HU with preouts and the sound/loudness was a lot better. If you need a LOC i think i have one around the house, although if i were you i would do it right find a nice HU and stick with that. I buy most of my stuff second, third hand and i got a Pioneer with Preamps and AUX ins for $80shipped. Just look for some deals on the car audio fourms...

my line out converter has two speaker wires (one green and one grey?, not referring to rca outs) where would that connect to the rear speakers. Oh and thanks for the offer but i'm keeping the cleanness of the interior of the front dash
