The cheapest way to install 4ch amp for stock speaker?

Please help me out.
I want just little more power to boost me stock speakers (non-JBL). At circuitcity cheapest 4ch amp is about $150-200 with 60W each channel. Will 60W amp blow the stock speakers ? and installation is too expensive like another $150 with wires. Any suggestion? Thanks ahead.

If you boosted your stock speakers they probably couldn't handle the power to begin with. If you want to add an amp and speakers at the same time you would probally benifit it in the long run.

You can read about hooking up an amp at this website www.teamrocs.com in the tech section. Where you locate?

if you have the jbl speakers then you can add more power no problem... just make sure that the amp is 2ohm stable. On my gen1 the speakers were 2ohm so im assuming its the same for your gen2, but yea theres a massive difference in the sound quality by bumping to an aftermarket cd player and boosting the power with a 4ch amp.

That's not true at all in my experience. I have a 4 x 75 watt RMS amp on my non-jbl factory speakers right now, and have no problem at all. They actually sound quite well. I am also running an EQ as well, but that's only to help with the sound imaging more than anything else. As long as you don't turn the gain to full power, there shouldn't be any problems.

Obviously aftermarket components would be better, but the factory speakers will work until you can replace them.

I think people aren't paying attention to this sentence.

I agree completely! Do yourself a favor & upgrade them both. You will be happy you upgraded your speakers it will sound a hell of a lot better than your stock ones for sure.

The stock non JBL are JUNK. The stock non JBL head unit will blow them. Do yourself a favor and replace them.

From my past experience, installing an amp to a stock solara HU led to alot of hissing noise feedback through the speakers. So I dont think its a good idea to just add the 4 channel amp to your stock HU.
What I suggest you do is an easy way to boost the power of your stock speakers by changing your HU.
If it costs 150 for the amp and 150 for install and wires, why pay 300 for something that an aftermarket HU can do for half that price? Most aftermarket HU's run at about 20 watts RMS vs stock's 7 watts. PLUS it improves the clarity of the sound anyways and is the base of a system upgrade when you decide to.

im sorry BUT WHY DO U SAY BOOST???? this isnt a motor...

its amplify... haha

alright 4 channels are GREAT now if you get them on your stock speakers they wont last too long. your HU right now puts out 10-12 watts. any aftermarket radio will put out 18-23 watts RMS. not 50x4...

my opinion, is get new speakers.... OR get a new HU that can drive the speakers alittle better.

and as for 4 channel too factory HU i HAVE NOT had problems installing them. just get good ground and run a return ground.
