Injen intake for V6 97-01 Camry/Solara

Postby that1mexguy » Mon Jun 28, 2004 6:03 am

I thought someone had posted a msg here asking where to get an Injen intake for the best price. Well I "think" i found one...(this is the cheapest i've seen it so far, unless someone else has a better deal-if so, share the wealth).

If you go to www.nopionline.com and do a search for intake for solara, I came up with one that was $216 or something like that, but what you actually need to do, is do a search for the part "IS2030", then 3 options show up (blue, polished and red for V6 camry/solara 97-01). The red and blue are $180.51, which is not really that bad, and the polished is $208.00. However, when you actually check out, there is a "discount code box", and if you enter the code "SPEED", then you get an additional $10 off for the blue/red or $20 off for the polished. So if you are going for a red or blue intake, then you are getting it for about $180 (shipping included). Not bad if you ask me. I just ordered mine! :drinking: cheers[/b]

he will. My little brother had one and even with a CAI, and him only having taken off his resonator he would beat me under fair races either from a stand still and def while rolling. Only time you might have a chance is if from a rolling, his vtec doesnt enguage due to the car not wanting to downshift.

soo.... we would need a manual in order to beat a similarly equipped auto accord? paper specs comparison says that its a fair fight auto vs auto, bottom line is that the accord is faster.

i'm almost positive a manual solara will take a manual accord. Similar weight, similar hp, but the sol takes it on torque big time.

'01 Accord
Curb Weight: 3283 lbs.
Horsepower: 200 hp
Torque: 195 ft-lbs.

99 v6 solara
Curb Weight: 3263 lbs.
Horsepower: 200 hp
Torque: 214 ft-lbs.
+ a CAI?

there is no chance the accord could win, unless the accord has a better auto transmission.
