16" stock rims and tires

16" stock rims and tires

Postby that1mexguy » Sun Jun 06, 2004 7:35 pm

Well i recently got some 18" rims for my ride and I still have the stock rims in my garage... they are just sitting there.. taking space, and i'm contemplating on selling them. Should I? if so, what do you guys think sounds like a reasonable price? The tires are Michellin's with only about $15K and their warranty is $80K. The rims only have some minor scratches. They are the ones on the pic below (click on link). Thanks in advance for your opinions.

PS. Any takers?

When I get my rims and wheels I'm keeping my stock ones. Just for winter use. I don't want to get my wheels all dirty with the snow and salt. If I were you I'd keep them but then again I don't know where you live and plus it's your decision anyways :drinking:

My grandparents live in Houston and they've had snow before. I'm sure it's not a common problem for you during winter like it is for me but you can't say you've never had it before. Same for Atlanta I guess. But I thought for sure Georgia had about the same weather down there just a bit warmer than here. W/e I guess you all live there and I don't. Wish I lived in CATlanta though :P

ya people have a common misconception about the "snow" in texas...its may look like white stuff falling from the sky but its actually just sleet...sleet is our common problem in the winter (when it does get that cold) but i dont think ive seen cover ground in a while.

Never said anything about it covering the ground like it does up here. Just snow in general.

hahaha It "Snowed" this winter here in Atlanta (We got 2 inches) (One day) Melted by the afternoon. I drove fine no issues. How about we closed down the office over that crap. I don't consider that a snowing environment cause it's one day out of the entire winter. Definatly not going to get winter tires just for one day either.

It's nice to have snow for christmas but I wish it was the same way here. I hate driving in the snow and I hate having all that salt and crap on my car.
