no they don't come with it, it depends on where you order, some comes, some don't.

As long as the diameter is right, it will fit, sort of like a universal thing.

u need a clamp to tighten with the filter anyway along with the shield.

I ordered mine and the site said the heat shield was sold separately, but for some reason I opened the box and there it was :D This is probably a dumb question but the heat shield only covers about half of the filter and in some pictures its positioned on top of the filter between the hood and intake. In order for a heat shield to serve any purpose, shouldn't it be covering the bottom of the filter since more heat is generated from that area? Or in pictures is it on top so that the buyer can see what it looks like? [/list]

Yo check it. some short rams are sold with or without it. I got one of these and this will not block heat from getting in the intake. The filter is still in the engine bay and it only covers 3/4 of the filter. Heat will still get in but not as much as if it were naked. check my www for pics of one installed.

the retarded thing is, is that the heat shield is chrome itself. it absorbes a lot of heat and gets hot, and his right next to the filter. we just need a company to make a real CAI. these short rams just don't do anything.
