So I've come to a crossroads. The automotive version of my HS sweetheart might be coming back into my life, and so I'd have to part ways with the Solara. I am thinking about getting back into a 6 speed Accord EX-L. If I don't, I'm going to upgrade the Solara to 6 or 7 psi and just keep her.

The car: 2001 Solara SLE/TRD V6 5 speed/supercharged
117k miles
Indigo blue exterior/tan leather interior
clean title

The good:

- engine runs, starts and drives flawlessly. I have religiously checked the oil frequently in between 3k oil changes, doesn't leak or burn a single drop
- transmission shifts perfectly, has no grinds whatsoever, very smooth no notchiness or pop-outs etc.
- clutch is excellent, recently did a fifth gear pull up to 100, no slipping, TOB noises or anything at all
- interior could use a detail, but is otherwise in great shape. Seats are in very good shape for 10/11 year old leather, no tears or holes. Every power option, JBL stereo, and air conditioning work.
- New battery in August, NAPA battery with two year warrany. New flex pipe section from collector to catalytic converter
- Car is all OEM/TRD, I haven't modified anything yet
- Tires are new, 6,000 miles on them, all four are matching Republic all season tires

The bad:

- rear strut mounts are a little noisy over bumps, wouldn't hurt to replace them, about $30 each
- ever since the weather has cooled under 50 degrees, the engine occasionally knocks/leans out at WOT in first and second gear. No CEL (scanned her twice), pulls hard and runs just fine at all RPMs at WOT in 3-5 gears. I've been taking it easy on her because of it (no traction in second gear in cold weather anyway lol). The car will come with a brand new Jim's fuel mod/fuel filter, if I sell it here, regardless of price.

The ugly:

- It is a city car, the previous owner drove it in the city of Milwaukee, as have I. There are plenty of imperfections to the body, and I tried to take a close up picture of all of the scrapes and the one little bubble of surface rust on the rear right fender. Looks great from 10-15 feet due to the dark paint.
- the title is clear, but it was in an accident in 2008, according to the Carfax. All I know is, one of the headlights was replaced as it looks brand new, so it was probably a pretty minor fender bender.
- for whatever reason, the car does not have the TSW 17" wheels or TRD ground effects kit, which were originally installed according to the TRD sticker in the driver door jam. Car has ES300 15" wheels. The good news is, there is both a TRD ground effects kit and TSW wheel set for sale here at this forum if you are interested in them :)

The extras (would come with if the price is right, otherwise I'll sell them separately, or put them on if I keep the car):

- Jim's fuel mod, will come with the car to fix the WOT lower gear lean condition
- Supra 2jzge blue top injectors, set of 6
- Walbro 190 lph fuel pump
- Apexi SAFC-II
- three 16" 6 spoke Solara SLE wheels, received them from local Camry owner whom I bought the Injen SRI from. can find fourth for about $60 on ebay, or salvage yard. I plan on buying a fourth in the Spring and put performance tires on them, to complement the awesome suspension
- Injen SRI for 1mzfe, installed, works good but ran lean so I took it off
- 15" Avalon steelies, two brand new unmounted 205/50/15 BFG drag radials

Could come with basically everything necessary to safely raise the boost to 6-8 pounds, but a larger exhaust

This is where the car was hit, there are two deep scratches right by the plastic trim piece, and a slight indentation

An asking price is pretty complicated, given the large amount of variables (dealer installed mods that could be parted out for almost 3k, possible extra parts included, etc.). KBB is 4800, I suppose we could work from there depending on what the buyer would want out of the extra parts I have.

Bump. Anybody want the supercharger and trd strut bar for $2200 shipped? $4000 for the car as is?

Crackhead prices, get this stuff gone guys:

Jim's fuel mod - $65 shipped, never been used/installed
Set of 6 blue top Supra 2jz injectors - $60 shipped
Walbro 190 fuel pump, brand new - $80 shipped
Two BFG drag radials, 205/50/15 - $165 shipped, still have the sticker on them, never installed. This is what Sears wants for ONE of them.
Two 15x6 Avalon steelies - $50 local pickup only, unless sold with the DRs for a little over $200 shipped
Three 16x6 6 spoke Solara SLE wheels - $80 shipped, has dry rotted tires that are unusable except maybe for full size spare

The small stuff would go with the car for $4100 (Jim's mod, injectors, Walbro FP)

The injectors might be sold with the car, I have somebody coming to look at it. Otherwise, I'll get the shipping quote on Monday.

The injectors are "supra" injectors, I believe they're from an NA 2jz-gte, according to the little info I've found searching. I bought them from Gabe specifically for raising my boost, not sure if they're 305 or 330 but I'm sure they'll be fine for a normal level of boost.

Does anybody know what I'd need to take the SC off and return the car to stock, running order? Obvious stuff like a stock length serpentine belt and upper IM/TB, but what else?

You'll need also the stock EGR tube and also a couple bolts... but i think most bolts are similar enough to have no need to go back to stock.

TTT, the car was sold, no more supercharger. However, all of the parts are still for sale, even the Jim's fuel mod. I would be willing to negotiate with the already low prices just to get this stuff gone :)

Glad to hear you got it sold. I kept seeing the local Craigslist add and didn't realize it was yours.

Yeah I had like four texts the first afternoon it was for sale. The buyer had it inspected, turns out it was the end link bushings that were bad, not the strut mounts like the shop said :bad-words: they probably wanted to rob me and take a half hour to put the $10 bushings in. I'm sad to see the car go, but it just wasn't working out. I need something that doesn't ride like an Elise on these asteroid impact-filled streets and would prefer something that doesn't suck down gas like a V8. If I was still commuting like last year it would be perfect for me.

I have sold the injectors, Walbro FP and Jim's fuel mod. I have the Injen SRI, drag radials, 16" Solara alloys and pair of steelies left, and the SAFC-II if I choose not to use it to tune my Accord.
