FS: INJEN INTAKE 00-01 CAMRY/99 03 Solara 4 Cyl -$35-$100 CL

First off, NOT MY AD FOR SALE. I found this ad on craigslist san diego a month and a half ago. It said 99-03 Solara Intake filter with box, license plate frame, etc. She was asking $50. I called and she said she only had the "tube thingy" and it's not complete. I said I would probably give her $35. She said ok and we met at a local coffee shop. I got there to find the intake complete with the cone filter, chrome arm, tubes, rubber seals, clamps, instructions, license plate frame, and box. Unfortunately, it is for a 4 cylinder. I held it up to my engine bay out of curiousity and it clearly wasn't going to fit with my 1mzfe no mstter what angle. I was thinking for $35 it might be worth playing with.

SO, now it is back up online, but for $100 but the writing of the ad sounds like the same girl, and it's posted in the same part of town.

I thought maybe someone on here would want to get it. I could always call her up and offer the $35 again and say it's for a friend who wants to cut the arm up and experiment (that's what I thought I was going to do and why I low balled her and she took me up on it).

Interesting. My 5sfe MR2 has an intake on it and I really like the way it sounds. $100 seems a little steep for a warm air intake though. I didn't know Injen made systems for these cars, probably fairly rare? Is it new or used?

edit: just looked at Injens website, this appears to be discontinued. There's one for the V6 though.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Ronb, can you confirm this is the same girl? I'm interested in everything. Maybe if you can call her and offer her $35 again or something lower than $100 and then I could pay you whatever you paid for it plus shipping.

Just trying to save some money lol. Let me know if you're interested in something like that.
