I have for sale, 5 polyurethane dogbone mounts for sale in 85a hardness. This is a one shot deal, as I had these made up a while ago but never got around to selling them, and these days I am way too busy to get more made. There have been lots of people looking for good solid dogbone mounts (including myself) where we don't want to have to deal with taking our dogbone mounts to a shop to get bushings pressed in (if we can get them at all in the first place), so here's your direct bolt-on option.

Unfortunately the colors are red AND yellow and no other options are available since that was the urethane that was on hand. But due to the hardness of the urethane, you can easily paint the entire mount (including urethane) with bumper paint that has a bit of flex agent in it for whatever color you may want.

These mounts will fit:
- ALL gen3 v6's - 1mz and 3vz
- ALL gen4/solara supercharged v6
- 5-speed gen4/solara non-supercharged
- Automatic gen4/solara non-supercharged IF you get a 5-speed dogbone bracket (you can talk to ASG14 or hit up a local junkyard)

ASG14 has 3 of of them with him in CT, and I kept a couple (and maybe one more if I take the current one off my car as well) here in Toronto.

Price is $60 + shipping + paypal fees, which should come out to approx $70 (in the US) and $75 (in Canada)

I was to lazy to type so I copy paste this...
qoute from "lemegacool"...i suggested stiffer motor mount to help supress future wheel hop.. and my stock engine destroyed the dogbone and front mount...the car will feel better overall with stiffer mounts... when you'll mash the gas the power will be directly on the ground rather than lost in the mounts.

So how many reinforced mounts do we need? Is it a must to replace ALL the motor mounts, install a reinforced torque rod with reinforced bracket, plus the dogbone or can we get away with not doing one of them?

My motor feels like its break dancing in the engine bay so I don't have much of a choice at this point but if I could save money by installing a stock spec part without it breaking, I will. Any input is highly appreciated.

to be perfectly honest, I would say that for our cars, the most important mounts to have polyurethane would be the front mount and the dogbone. Especially when supercharged, our motors basically rock back and forth violently with throttle and launch.

On a stock application, I would say that an brand new OEM dogbone mount would do the job for a good number of years presuming that rest of your mounts are in good shape. But on a supercharged (and especially 5-speed) application, a good solid dogbone mount is a must. The front mount as well of course, but for some, that's much more cost prohibitive since it costs more than twice as much.

The rear and tranny mounts you can definitely go stock- the OEM rear mount pretty much never really falls apart since the motor basically rotates on it, and the tranny mount is mostly there just to support the weight of the tranny. Of course, reinforcing both of these mounts will also help keep the engine in place better with less flex, but they don't seem to be a maintenance item on the majority of our cars either.

In regards to the torque rod, I think that it's a very good addition to performance, but I don't believe that the reinforced bracket would be required IF the rest of your mounts are good and solid. It is the flex in the other mounts that give freedom of movement to the motor that places the excessive force on the bracket that will make it snap.

the dogbone mount is never overkill mainly because it fails so easily.... I would say that an 85a front mount would definitely be overkill for an NA automatic application.

But if you are interested in a polyurethane option for your 94 1mz, I'll probably have something for it in a couple of weeks, as I plan on taking the one that is on my car currently (65a I believe) and replacing it with one of these 85a ones, so the 65a one would be up for sale at that point
