New Exedy OEM Clutch For Sale

Postby TxBmbleBee » Sun Aug 23, 2009 8:34 am

Well I originally bought this for my swap, however Greg and Gibson convinced me that this clutch will not last me but 2-3 months if I'm supercharged. Therefore I'm selling it and getting a stage 3. This clutch is currently installed on my car, but has zero miles on it. It will be removed next week, and then will be available for shipping. Comes with its new throw out bearing and pilot bearing. price is 100 shipped obo

Note: if you are supercharged, i would highly recommend not buying this, however for a stock 5 speed, i have heard this clutch is great.

inverted i am very sorry. i have been crazy busy with work and school, i have not had time to separate the tranny to take out the clutch for you. i have all the original boxes to ship them to you in. i will try to get to it this weekend but i have a project due on wednesday.

and suplaraxx to answer your question. the clutch wont last long at all if boosted. trdgreg and gibson99 told me if boosted max would be 3 months. i hear its a great clutch if engine is stock. this clutch has no miles on it haha, i installed and am now taking it out. ahh

i have a plain jane exedy like this one on my miata (stock power). I installed it at about 75k miles (bought the car at 66k) when the factory original throwout bearing started to make some nasty noises. the original clutch disk in there still had plenty of life, but the failing throwout bearing was starting to cut through the "fingers" on the pressure plate - apparently the previous owner liked to rest their foot on the clutch pedal while driving.

i replaced the whole thing with an exedy OE-replacement clutch like teh one craig has here. now the car has 167k miles and i'm still on the same clutch i installed 92k miles ago. this clutch has seen some street racing, daily driving in houston traffic, a day on the track at texas world speedway, a few open houses at other tracks, and about 6 years of 1-2 autocrosses a month, some with up to 10 runs per event. oh yeah and i taught my wife how to drive stick in this car. yet the clutch is still holding strong. i don't forsee myself replacing this clutch anytime soon.

inverted, you won't be disappointed. unless you decide to turbo/supercharge your car.
