I'm going to be making a custom short shifter boot for Akora and I was wondering who else would be interested in getting one.

Just put down your name, the color of the stitching and leather, and whether you want it hand stitched or machine stitched

PRICE: $50 each:

PAYMENT: My Paypal Address is: satodd1@comcast.net

If you have any ideas as to the design you would like, feel free to add a photo to this thread.

I'm interested, but thats not to say that I'm ready to buy.

I'd have to see it first. Or at least have an idea of what it will look like.

Whats the difference between machine or hand stitched?

Would anybody really want any color other than black?

black leather with a different color of stiching would look nice.

The stitches on the hand sewn boot would look like this:

The Machine sewn one would look like this:

Eye8Pussies, It does seem like a lot but it is cheaper than most of the boots I found online. Keep in mind this one will be completely custom and fit well. The boot in the bottom picture, for example, is $97.

yeah, I suppose that's true...but whoever buys that one is crazy too lol.

but yeah, I understand the cost mostly due to the labor involved in restitching something like that

I suppose that I wasn't really clear. You don't need to send me your old boot. I was planning on making them from scratch.

The cost is mainly to cover the materials (leather can get a bit pricey if you want it to last for more than a month.)

It's all about supply and demand in this case. Since nobody makes a shortened OEM-fitting boot for our application, and that you have the option of having it customized, I don't think the price is bad. I'm sure the quality will be top notch.

That was my thought. Akora, if I recall, you've seen some of my sewing so you would know that it is pretty good.

For those that aren't sure of my standards, I've been, for the last several years, making bespoke suits (by hand) that sell for well over $5000 each. Quality control at this level is extremely high.

Do you mean embroidered? I've never done that kind of work before.

If you mean a patch of some sort, I could do that without a problem.

I'm interested in knowing what the leather would look like in different colors, black or gray for example. I'm asking because the factory one is vinyl I think and it is shiny.

now that i actually took off my boot today....it would look dumb with trd on the shifter and then again on the boot so disregard my other post lol. but i would like to see a test pattern i was thinking the same black that the knobs with a red stitching But with the red stitching a more subdued red like in the shifter knob......if you could do that i would take one :)

x2 -- that and I am not that sure that the stock boot is annoying me enough to put down the cash for a new one
