Engine Block with internals

Postby adam2562 » Wed Oct 13, 2004 12:52 pm

i have a 1MZ-FE Engine block thats beensitting in my garage with less than 10k on it.. i got it from my dealership.. it spun a rod bearing which is easily fixable... a new block from toyota is about $2,200 w/o internals (pistons, rods,crank).. so i'm asking $900 or best offer keep in mind that rod bearings are only about $250 in parts. Thanks

all ikno is that it came out of an avalon so it definetly wasnt dogged or anything... it was probably just bad factory placement ofthe rod bearings.. all u need to do is replace the rod bearings so disassemble and put back together thats why i'm selling it so much cheaper same motor by the way.... o and for the 5sfe swap to 1MZ-FE u'll need the tranny and ecu and axles and possibly wheel hub bearing but i dont think u will need that

thx man.

They got the estimate at 500 so far for my 5SFE to get it running again, but they havent opened up the block yet. If the est gets over 1K, i think ill just end up doin a swap.

The performance shop is chargin me about 600-800 extra to do the rod bearings cuz thier counting it as a "build" rather than just a swap since they need to open it up, so I dunno if id be goin for this 1MZ block even if i do the swap.

do remember that you will need the new wiring harness.. the 1mzfe will have a lot more sensors over the i4... u will need an ecu, complete wiring harness.. it would be a bit#h... possible,, but lots of work and dedication
