All the disbelievers need to call dealerships. I called a second dealer today and they also told me that SLE 5 spds do exist. They said that they had just recently sold one. They again told me that they are rare because it was on option that you had to pay for and not to many people are that hard core about a manual when the auto was free. I think some dealers just went ahead and ordered them with a manual anticipating that customers would buy them.

when i say dealership do you really think that i am calling a chevy or ford dealership? I have called two TOYOTA dealerships. Really....if you don't believe me call a different TOYOTA dealership.

I don't think it was an option. My dealership (North Hollywood Toyota) told me if I wanted a 5 spd I would have to get the SE model, because there was no SLE 5 spd.
