TWM Shortshifter Kit Group Buy

Postby s e y t o n » Fri Oct 15, 2004 5:57 pm

i got mine on thursday.. been too busy to attempt to install it until earlier today.. but im stuck on step 11, the clip that they provide in the kit. the stock one is not coming off!!! i hate it how the instructions are for the corolla... so frustrated.

did anybody else have the same problem? id appreciate a mini tutorial on the small differences between the instructions (which are for the corolla). thanks.

Honestly If I remember doing mine, there wasnt anydifference. That one clip Your trying to take off is kinda hard. Since they supply you with anotherone then thats a sign to rip the old one right off 8) . if you dont then its kinda pointless becuase you going to bend it taking it out no matter what(or my opint of view when I did it). Everything else in the instruction was the same except remving the cracy surrounding just to see the stick easily. Goodluck and WUZZAAA CRAZY SHIFTING MUAHAHA....until last night.....My engine check light came on.....Think I was suppose to reset the car when I installed the TWM.

Im using MOMO King shift knob. Ill have the pics up. Sorry guys, got so happy that I forgot to buy a new camera. And for anyone else, You have to have a flat Screw driver to bust that one little ring off. They give you a replacement for a reason haha. No way was I able to take it off without bending it. I just hammer it part way out with a flat screw driver and a hammer, and use priller(the long pointy tool thingie nose) and break it off. The rest is just pulling it out and yahda yahda haha. Hope that helps everyone. Its just my point of view of when I did it so yeah.
