I'm looking to do this. To clarify....all I need are the rear caliper brackets off , for example a 1998 ES300, and they will bolt on to my Gen 4 V6 Camry with this rotor..NO PROBLEMS?

"92 - 96 es300, and u need the caliper & the bracket, the caliper is much bigger. "

Ok...but I want to bolt on MY stock caliper to the bigger rotor..like I'm doing up front. So....can I get a 92-96 Lexus bracket and do that without the caliper addition? If so, do I also need the backing plate? Basically I want to leave the f/r balance in tact..if I use a bigger caliper in back, I get too much rear bias with the front set up, which is using a stock caliper and Supra TT disc.

Thanks...

my bad, the backing plate will also have to be changed.

i dont think the stock gen 4 caliper bolts up to the 96 es300 bracket.

I still have to post pics.

OK..thanks. BTW, I went to TN and read an old thread on Eric Sol set up. There were some *happy campers* who were using it. It really fits my needs here...street *encounters* are my THANG..track days are history. I know your set up is going to be great..but it's overkill for my *needs*.

RON, this is what you need. Your Camry already has the" larger rear calipers". It wasnt until 2000 toyota starting using the smaller rear calipers on the camry/ and solara.

1995 ES300 Rear Caliper Bracket
1995 ES300 rear rotors

1995 ES300 Backing plate is optional , you can use you stock one but you will have to bend it to fit the larger rotors.

I just checked the specs on the rears of the 2001 models..they have the same bore size as my 1997...1.37"! At least that was the size for the replacement part that Raybestos makes. I use them for info, because they're the only ones (at Rock Auto) that list the sizes. The bore size of the 1996 Lexus ES 300 is 1.5"...about 20% more piston area. So using that won't make a hell of a lot of difference over the stock caliper. However......It's hard to find a bracket alone and I found a pair of used 94 Calipers with the brackets on the cheap, so I'll probably switch to the ES calipers anyway.

BTW..I PM'd you on this, but I'll bring it up here as well :) . I'm just *contemplating* this...will the ES 300 calipers just simply bolt up to your front bracket kit? You mentioned something about *grinding* the brackets (or calipers?) in another post.

If you want to use the dual piston front calipers you will have to grind down the caliper bracket, thats what i was told i have never done it myself.
