FS Apexi RSM (rev-speed-meter)

Postby Gibson99 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:08 am

I took out an apexi RSM (rev-speed-meter) from my 98 camry since all it was hooked up to do was remove the top speed limiter, and i didn't need that. it can do a lot more, like replace the TRD EBC on a camry/solara (for a manual anyway) but since I actually have an EBC, I don't need that either.

Not sure what these things go for used, but i see them new on ebay for around 200, so I am asking $150us (obo) plus shipping. box included, but i'm not sure if i have all the original paperwork that came with it, since there's so much of it. metal apexi stand also included!

location is sugar land, tx

PM me or email my screen name at gmail.com

looks like this one:

no, that's not my auction, but that's what it looks like.

there are a couple pics of the actual RSM i am selling, showing that it does work. If you get a page not found error, try again in 20-30 mins. my isp sucks and goes out all the time. and since they just doubled their price, i'm gonna be switching providers soon.

So this would let your Solara go pass 138 for the V6 guys? I'm not sure what the top speed for the I-4 is

I assume so - that's basically the only thing it was hooked up to do in my camry, and the solara ecu is pretty much the same (if not exactly the same)

I did not. Tiem put it in, and since that's the ONLY thing it was hooked up to, I would assume it worked. it intercepts the speed sensor signal before it gets to the ECU (just like SAFC intercepts MAF signal) and changes it or just shows a certain number to the ECU to keep it happy. the RSM itself will show your actual speed though. :)
