I got a knock sensor code for bank 2. Would this be the correct thing to buy? I read about the GM knock sensors in your link. Does this have anything to do with the ECU wires being spliced? The reason I ask is because I'm planning on doing a transmission swap (auto to stick) and I want to make sure I do everything correctly before or after the swap, depending which one is the easiest. Thanks

This mod is different from the ECU wire splice. Since your bank 1 KS still works, you can splice the bank 2 wire into the bank 1 wire and pull readings from just the one sensor.

The ATS kit is a cheaper alternative to using the OEM sensors (once blown) and they also aren't as sensitive, so they are much less prone to blowing. If you don't want to hack into your ECU, or still want readings from both banks, then this is the best option.
