FS: TRD Supercharger
As some of you many know...I recently got into an accident, so now I need money to fix my camry. I was lucky enough to have a spare supercharger that I had some experimentation plans for, but now I need to sell it to finance the rebirth of my car.
Details:
It has 70K miles on it with 4psi of boost, and was meticulously taken care of by its previous owner (easily observable by little things such as the lack of rust of the actuator rod- most of them have at least some rust). Aesthetically, it is in perfect condition, and same thing mechanically. I have just changed the oil as well as the coupler with TRD supercharger oil and coupler. The original oil that was in it was in great shape (4psi of boost doesn't create much heat or break down of the high quality synthetic gear oil) and the nose was still full- a perfect indication of the condition of the bearings- which were never deprived of oil. Long story short, the supercharger is in amazing condition and the bearings are in perfect condition as well- making no noise and turning freely.
For those who think that 70K is a lot of mileage, I have a supercharger on my Solara as well that is past 115K and still running strong and quietly on all original parts except for oil changes. It has only seen 4psi all its life. This is compared to the supercharger that was on my car and was rebuilt 15K before my ownership. I put 20K on it, and then the bearings failed patially due to lack of oil but mostly- high boost (13psi before me, and 6-7psi from me).
I have everything but the vacuum tubing. The TRD installation manual comes with all the measurements for the 6 or so pieces of vacuum tubing that you will need for the installation. A roll of vacuum tubing is also included that should cover most of what is needed- it just needs to be cut down to size. The buyer will also need a one-way valve (if they choose to run one) which can be bought for under $5 at any local automotive store. I am also including an extra grooved pulley. The belt, pulley, tensioner are still in great condition, but if the buyer wants, they can get all new ones through amazon for around $100. Included is the 5-speed ebc.
(The dots on the supercharger is rain)
So the part that everybody's been waiting for...the price:
$2500CND shipped within Canada
$2550USD shipped to the US
The prices include everything except for the EGR tube, which is for a 5-speed. I am listing it separately, since a lot of the boosted community don't bother with EGRs and their like. Also, because somebody with an automatic 1mz may want the supercharger.
If the person who buys the supercharger wants the EGR tube as well, then they can have it for $120. Otherwise, I will sell it separately for $180 shipped.
I know that people will also complain that the prices may seem a bit high, but you've got to pay to play in this game, and there are very few out there. More so the fact that I need money to fix my car. I am letting the Camry/Solara community have a first go at this before taking it to the V6 supercharged, crazy MR2 guys lol.
I will also be giving preference to people within Canada first, since it will make shipping much easier for everybody.
For paypal, please add 2% to the total- I'm willing to take a 1% hit on the charges.
Other methods of payment can be worked out between the buyer and myself.
No "dibs" please. The first one to put money in my hands will be the new owner of a TRD supercharger.
