I'm looking for either a sealed or ported enclosure for my JL 12w6 (original model). One that fits the exact dimensions of the PDF on the website.
2 JL 12w6's powered by
Hifonics BX1000D amp@ 1.5 ohms run off an
Alpine CDA-9833

soon to be
CDT EF61CFi/25 6.5" components.

SEALED!!!!! please sealed. ok so i know you can beat on JL's but W6 however they lose so much control when in ported, W3's are much better suited for a port/vent application

I have a nice sealed box built for my previous JL setup. It is a slanted box.(angled boxes offer better sound than straight rectangluar boxes. *** as the theory goes the odder the shape of the enclosure the better). It has a volume of .95 cubes. Very toughly built with 2" thick MDF.(There will be no flexing, by the way the standard is .75" but I went overkill as usual) The carpeting is very nice. The internals of the box are lined with chaulk and it comes with a terminal cup. Very thick black carpeting. Let me know if your interested.

JL audio recommends 0.9 - 1.50 Cubic feet. Try downloading WINISD and model up your subwoofer with the size of my box. I think you will see that it will thrive.

i have a buch of boxes
i think the best one i have for you is a sealed box that's 1.4something cubes.
it's all sealed up on the inside, and is also braced up on the inside to prevent from flexing. the box is definately overkill as it was made for idmax12/w7 type subs

but, pm me if you're intrested
