Looking for leather seats...

Hello. I'm looking to swap my tan seats out for leather ones, preferably heated and in good condition. I'm in Ottawa Canada

Thanks, Tim

Look on ebay or salvage yards for the leather seats. There's quite a bit to be done to get heated seats - probably not worth the time or money.

The only Solara that came with leather AND heated seats was the 2003 SLE model. Also, if you want to take out the heated seats you're going to need the center console with both seat switches as well as the whole wiring harness. I don't think its that difficult to have done. Get the parts first though. Keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks for the info guys. To remove and replace wiring and such for the heated seats I'll be doing all the work myself and am sure there's a harness that adapts to the main harness so it would be easy to install. However, I'm looking at the universal seat heater kits on e-bay and was wondering if any of you know if they're any good? I've been looking for leather covers on e-bay too but haven't seen any yet.
I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks, Tim

you may want to see if leatherseats.com makes covers for our seats. i bought the covers for my SC 300 from them and they are great. they are also a vendor on clublexus. i would just wait and source the oem parts as these are usually much better quality and will integrate better with the interior.

LOOK!

It may be better to get the leather seat covers. This means the old covers are removed.

Don't worry about finding seat heaters, the aftermarket are as good or better.[/list]
