That me be the case but there is a difference in what was originally supplied versus the bolts that Dawgz got. The original bolt has more threads cut and a gold/yellowish finish and no stampings on the head. I was just showing all known bolts up to this point and to show the length and thread pitch for comparison purposes.

I now have 3 left and it took almost a month to get these. It took me hours of searching and sending emails back and forth. I will not be doing another buy after these are gone.

Thanks for the effort..as you are aware, I'm in for one. A no brainer for me. I have a spare TRD bolt too, but will use this baby when it comes to replacing my stripped one.

It takes a T50 Torx and I would not cheap out on the tool. No Harbor Freight or other cheap tools.
There will always be a Torx vs Allen debate as to which one strips out less. The fact is Torx has more surface contact between the tool and the fastener than an Allen. Use anti-seize I prefer high temp nickel and don't over torque the bolt.

Overall width is about 25mm
Inside width is about 18mm
The band/ring section width is about 3.5mm
The height or thickness of the ring laying flat is about 9.5mm
These are rough estimates as I do not have a caliper.

Well a Torx is suppose to resist cam out (tool slip) but I would still be leery using a universal joint socket. $5 on ebay or at Sears made in the USA.

Start the bolt with the socket by hand until you have enough clearance to get the ratchet on the socket. I know it's a tight fit with the A/C line.

A low profile socket.

A gear wrench socket.

This flexible one looks like a winner.
