I can sell you mine. Once I decide on a cold air intake, buy it and install it. Which might take months :(

well, since there isn't a CAI for our cars made anymore...you're left with the options of:

1) CP-E short ram intake (~$399), best performance gains that have been proven via dyno
2) injen short ram intake ($?) good aftermarket intake, won't throw a check engine light, nominal performance gains (compared to CPE) but better than stock.
3) custom ($whatever you want) - makes it possible to do a CAI. if you want to go larger than 2.75" on the intake tube, you're gonna need a ecu piggyback (like the apexi safc or neo) to retune the a/f ratio. also, if you do more than 2.75", you're gonna have to customize the cold air extension, and do some metalwork on the engine bay (to make the tube fit into the fender). if you want to stick with 2.75" then it is possible to do it without getting a CEL, and it should be feasible to fabricate a cold air extension for the fender, without having to modify the engine bay.

don't buy an ebay intake.

BTW guys, it would probably help out if both of you's posted what type of engine you have, as the 4cyl and 6cyl setups (stock and aftermarket) are different.

I got a V6, 1999 Solara. Awesome information wow thanks. Cos I was wondering about those ebay intakes and stuff...I guess I'm probably gonna go with the CP-E.
