there was a company that did an extension for us, UPFD or something like that. but they have since discontinued the part.

so it's all about finding a used one or fabricating a custom one.

but, from my understanding, all that the CA extension is, is a 2.75" mandrel bend pipe with a 90 degree bend in it. then you will probably have to make some minor adjustments to get it to mount to your body/chassis.

i'm sure with some ingenuity you can figure out how to custom fab one over the course of a weekend or two (i made my custom 3" intake over the course of like, two weeks, and that involved cutting, painting, and JB welding the MAF housing onto the pipe).

you will probably have to remove the fuse box for installation, but it should be able to bolt back up after you work the pipe through the engine bay into the fender.

and the splash guard is kinda finicky too, but with some perseverance it should go it and still be able to reinstall.

but don't get cheeky and try running a 3" extension. there is no way to make it fit into the fenderwell without hammering out part of the engine bay to open up the hole for the piping to fit thru. and even with hammering (i found out) that the metal is still really stubborn, and the consequence is an ugly install on a fairly simple part.

also, make sure you don't go too big on the filter once you're in the fender. the space is real limited, so an oversized filter like mine (i have a 5" tall filter) would not fit.

GL on whatever you decide
