Thinking of selling...

Thinking of selling...

Postby Solarizona » Mon Jun 02, 2008 6:09 pm

So, I'm thinking of selling my Solara. Everything works, it's been meticulously maintained, and it has just under 100K miles. The only negative is I'm pretty sure the passenger side door was repainted by the previous owner. My question is, does $8500 sound like a good price? I really want to get another M3, so the Solara would need to go. Some pics:

Thanks for any input.

ditch the lara and grab an m3 while ur still young and be able to enjoy it .. 8500 is very very reasonable for what you have to offer.

What kind you going to get a E46 style? That is what I would love to get I just can justify it to myself to spend 30k on a used car which may already have 40k on it. Good luck with your new purchase and post some pics

Absolutely LOVE ur car. Price seems great for the extras that youve added. Its a gen 1.5 and definately doesnt look like its approaching 100k

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I think I'll go with an E36. I had one about a year ago and absolutely loved it. Just wish it had the E46 engine/tranny - E36 is still a sweet car though.

Thanks man! Those pics were taken with about 85K miles but the only differences are some rock chips on the front, debadged the car, and added the TRD exhaust. Oh, and I just clayed and waxed it. It almost glows now :o !

question, why are you selling it?
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

sounds pretty fair, mine is a 99 and with no mods I paid 7900 a year ago with 85k miles. Everything was mint and maintained exceptionally though, like yours seems to be, so I dont think thats an unfair starting price. good luck!

That is one of the cleanest 1st gen's I've seen. Sad to see you parting with it, but a M3 is gonna compensate for it.

Good Luck with the sale, somebody is gonna get a nyccee ryde.

Thanks! Still not sure if I'm gonna sell it. I've already had an E36, so I'm debating holding out for a newer E46. Also, the Solara still runs flawless and looks great - kinda hard to part with it when I really think about it. Hmmm, decisions decisions :-?
