TRD RSB and FSTB - FINALLY on my Convertible

I just had the RSB put on my convertible. Holy smokes! The upgrade is MANDATORY if you have the convertible!!! I am on the middle setting and if feels like a new car. I put the FSTB on the car as soon as I got it and I could feel improvement, but the RSB is a whole other level of driving experience. The car is stable and is stiff through turns, making you want to step on it harder. Thanks to those who talk about these upgrades on the site!

Congrats on the bars! They really do make it feel like a whole new driving experience. I Found the fstb to be great for eliminating dashboard creaks.

I have the exact same bars on the way for my 05 vert... Good to hear the positive improvements... Where are you getting the exhaust from if I maybe so bold to ask ?

Have you heard an Solara with the TRD exhaust? Is it much louder or just barely noticeable. I would like an increase in power but not noise...

Power gains are minimal, and the exhaust gets a deeper tone. It is noticeably louder but not overwhelming.

It's a very nice sound. Good tone, not rice-like at all. Louder, but not loud enough to cause a fuss with the 5-0 unless you start playing with the rest of the exhaust system.

GZ I saw another post where you also recommend Magnaflow and they sound about the same? Is Magnaflow less expensive or any better than the TRD?

The magnaflow sounds just as good as the trd. The noticeable difference between the two is the length of the tip. The trd protrudes further out the back of the bumper and its tip is a dual walled design with a rolled edges. The magnaflow is shorter and has a single walled tip. They are both straight through design. You will have to get the magnaflow custom piped to hook up to the Lara's exhaust. But even with this added cost the magnaflow can be purchased and installed for half of the price of a brand new trd unit. The other thread has the magnaflow part number listed.

There seems to be some question as to wether or not part Cat-Back Exhaust System (PTR06-06040-25) will fit a 2008 Lara. it looks like it will, but I just want to sure before I order.
