When you start replacing LEDs, it would be great if you took a lot of pictures as I know there are several of us on here that are going after the same goal (getting rid of the nasty green lights). I've been replacing pieces with '07 versions, but would prefer to save some cash and have some more options by just changing the LEDs. I'm pretty good with electronics, but everyone says the difficulty level is just too high.
Don't worry about your grammar, no judgements here. If you want to write up a real tutorial guide for your project, I'm happy to take a look and help edit/clarify your language if you're worried about making it clear.
