I went to wheels america before and they wanted 175 for a dent to be fixed and finished. But it didnt go well cause the dent was too close to the spoke. Good luck

I had a couple of rims bent back to spec a few years ago for around $75 a wheel excluding refinishing. However, not all dents can be fixed. There is always a risk of the wheel cracking when it's being bent.

Just wondering if you have the low profile tires and if that is one of their drawbacks....to bend a wheel in a pothole? I hit a really bad pothole with regular tires and didn't even lose my alignment, much to my surprise. Jimmm

^Low profile tires incur all kinds of problems. Depending on the weight/strength of a wheel, you can bend, chip or crack a rim. The inner sidewall of the tire can also blow out causing bulges, in which the tire needs replaced.

Thanks for the warnings. I don't care for them anyway, and
if I had some expensive wheels on my car I certainly don't
want the wheels that close to the ground. I actually prefer
the slightly over-sized tire look. Jimmm

I always go flying out out of my lane and all over the road just trying to avoid potholes/bumps. It really stresses me out and worries me. That sucks man hope you can get it fixed.

try bolton's wheels in Gardena in the south Bay,

I think they will fix just about anything for about $100
but look them up, they are an old skool type shop that
has been around for ages.

what type of wheels also?
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

If its me driving that car i wouldnt repair that rim because its done, youll be driving the car in daily bases that rim might go bad anytime..
I think for you better is just buy another rim and swap of the tire just to be more secure in the road..

So you are saying the lip is bent right? If so the lip is fixable. Keep us updated.

strength of the wheels is going to be the biggest asset

the ssr's im rolling on have seen some potholes and no bends yet... thank god and knock on wood

im running a high stretch/low pro as well 225/35/19 on a 9.5" wheel.. which gives me less sidewall than i believe anyone here right now..

so the best thing to do is drive carefully...
as to the OP i bent a rim a few years back on my 18s (ironically with mroe sidewall) and it was 150 to fix at wheeltechniques.. they do great work but are fuxin expensive as hell
need wheels? www.memoryfab.com - ask for david

That may depend on the wheel but that hasn't been my experience at all. I was lucky my bend was on the inside lip and didn't require a refinish. Still cost me $150 but I haven't had any trouble since...and I've hit tons of bumps since then (Bmore roads suck!).

I will add that if you can get the same wheel for relatively close to the price to fix it, then obviously I'd opt for the new wheel. In my case that wasn't an option because my wheels are 4yrs old and almost extinct, not to mention one costs like $350 or $4bills...
